Job Description

As a Licensed Practical Nurse with Valor Healthcare, you will play a critical role in providing prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to patients with diseases and injuries. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Patient Care: Actively assist with patient care, physical examinations, and ancillary tests.
  2. Perform annual and routine nursing assessments and preventive health services authorized by the VA and the clinic Medical Director.
  3. Administer medications as appropriate or ordered by a medical provider, orally, or by subcutaneous or intramuscular injection.
  4. Observe patient reactions and report adverse reactions to the clinic physician.
  5. Operate electrocardiograph (EKG) and other diagnostic equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests and treatments.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  1. Diploma or certificate from an accredited program of practical or vocational nursing.
  2. A minimum of one year of experience as an LPN/LVN in a related primary care or ambulatory care setting.
  3. Credentialing and good standing through the Veterans Health Administration (VA).
  4. A valid, unrestricted license in the state of desired employment.
  5. Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS, as specified by individual VAMC contract.
  6. Strong computer skills, including EMR experience.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits, including:
