Job Description: Dialysis Healthcare SpecialistAbout the Role

We are seeking an experienced Dialysis Healthcare Specialist to join our team. As a Dialysis Healthcare Specialist, you will be responsible for providing safe and effective dialysis therapy to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. Your primary goal will be to ensure that patients receive the highest level of care while promoting a positive patient experience.

Main Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate hemodialysis machines according to established protocols and procedures.
  • Assist with maintaining a safe and clean working environment, adhering to infection control practices, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide education and support to patients regarding their treatment options and the importance of adherence to their prescribed dialysis regimen.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of patient treatment data, including vital signs, lab results, and other relevant information.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful as a Dialysis Healthcare Specialist, you will need to possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent and a valid PCT national certification or state-specific certification.
  • At least five years of patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and resolve technical issues.
