Job Summary

Wooster Community Hospital seeks a skilled Scheduling and Registration Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule patient appointments for various tests and procedures
  • Obtain and verify patient demographic and insurance information
  • Assist patients with financial assistance and payment options
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the department manager

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with medical terminology and computer software

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience with Meditech and registration software
  • Previous experience in scheduling and registration

Leadership and Operations:

  • Follow hospital policies and procedures
  • Identify patients accurately using multiple forms of identification
  • Input patient information into computer systems

Customer Service:

  • Provide excellent customer service and communication
  • Assess customer satisfaction and resolve issues

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
