Respiratory Therapist

At UF Health, we are committed to providing exceptional patient care and innovative technology. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in our team, utilizing respiratory therapy processes based on American Association of Respiratory Care Guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate patient care with the healthcare team.
  • Make respiratory assessments and implement, deliver, and evaluate patient respiratory therapy needs.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED with some college, business, technical training, or Associate of Science Degree.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist/RRT.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist.
  • BLS.
  • ACLS.
  • PALS.
  • NRP.

Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required:

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • As applicable, RCP staff assigned to maternal-child services will be required to have NRP and PALS certification.
