Climate Resilience Expert for Landscape Architecture

Job OverviewThis tenure-track position is focused on developing and implementing effective ecologically based design strategies and technologies to mitigate the effects of climate change. The successful candidate will have expertise in designing urban environments that promote climate adaptation, soil remediation, carbon sequestration, shoreline stabilization, heat island mitigation, and urban agricultural optimization.
Responsibilities- Conduct cutting-edge research in landscape-based approaches to climate resilience
- Develop and implement innovative design strategies and technologies to address climate-related challenges
- Mentor students and collaborate with colleagues to advance the field of landscape architecture
- Pursue external funding opportunities to support research and initiatives
To be considered for this role, applicants must have a Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field. A Ph.D. is preferred. Relevant work experience, interdisciplinary collaboration, and teaching skills are also essential. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record of publishing scholarly articles, presenting research, and securing funding for projects.
What We OfferCornell University provides a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $130,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. This position comes with a 70% teaching and 30% research effort split, offering ample opportunities for growth and development.
