New Truck Sales Manager Job Description

About the Role:

The New Truck Sales Manager is a key position at TEC Equipment, responsible for driving sales of new trucks and ensuring the department meets company objectives and dealership standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full accountability for the profitability, risk management, and growth of the New Truck Sales department.
  • Build relationships and maintain communication with current and potential customers.
  • Travel to customer locations approximately 50% of the time to anticipate their needs and introduce them to other departments or services.
  • Ensure the department is training and providing support to customers in areas such as Dealer Portal, VAS, ASIST, LINK, E-Driver Training, E-Technician Training, Volvo Premium Tech Tool, Remote Diagnostics, etc.
  • Build an effective partnership and maintain communication with Mack and Volvo contacts to ensure a proper understanding of both Mack/Volvo and TEC Equipment processes.
  • Maintain solid communication and relationships with internal business partners and coordinate marketing plans to position TEC New Truck Sales in the forefront.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork and friendly competition by exemplifying TEC Equipment's Vision, Mission, and Values and consistently positioning our Value Proposition with all customers.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate a positive and energetic attitude and understand and embrace TEC Culture.
  • Treat every employee equally, empower and invest in your team, prioritize building relationships, buy smart, and maintain departmental flexibility.
  • Analyze financial, payroll, and inventory reports on a weekly basis, MIS reports on a monthly basis, and take initiative to identify and act upon trends and opportunities.
  • Lead business planning for the department and demonstrate command of financials by completing monthly bridge schedules.
