ROLE OF A HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will play a vital role in executing infrastructure projects, including road construction, bridges, and site development. Your responsibilities will encompass various construction tasks such as paving, excavation, curbing, and trenching. With a focus on safety and precision, you will operate heavy machinery efficiently while adhering to the fast-paced nature of construction operations.
Your daily tasks may involve:
- Performing earthwork and demolition activities.
- Engaging in environmental and utility site work.
- Conducting road construction and maintenance.
- Operating equipment such as asphalt pavers, rollers, excavators, and bulldozers.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- At least three (3) years of experience in the heavy construction field is highly desired, particularly in asphalt paving and utility installation.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required. A CDL B License with DOT medical card, tanker, and airbrake endorsements is preferred.
- Ability to obtain a Hoisting Engineer's License (1C & 2A).
- OSHA 10 certification is required; OSHA 30 is preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to pass background checks and drug testing as mandated by regulations.

WORK SCHEDULE
Our busiest construction seasons typically occur in the Spring and Fall. Work hours may vary based on project needs, with most employees working 40+ hours during peak times. Standard workdays generally begin around 7:00 am and conclude by 5:00 pm.
