About the Role

Supplemental Health Care is seeking a skilled Medical Travel Technician to join their team in New Orleans, Louisiana. As a vital member of the healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper equipment is sterilized and available, preparing patients for procedures, and providing pre, during, and post-op assistance.

Job Summary

This 13-week contract position offers a competitive salary of $2,500 - $2,739 per week, with opportunities for extension. The role requires a minimum of 40 hours per week, worked on an 8-hour shift schedule. Your hard work will make a tangible difference in the lives of patients and medical professionals alike.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the proper equipment is sterilized and available for surgical procedures.
  • Prepare patients for surgeries by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and administering necessary medications.
  • Provide support during surgical procedures, including maintaining a sterile environment and assisting with patient care.
  • Participate in pre- and post-operative briefings to ensure seamless communication between team members.
Requirements:
  • American Heart Association BLS certification is required for this role.
  • 2 years of relevant experience as a Surgical Technician or First Assist Technician is preferred.
  • Surgical Tech National Certificate is also highly valued.
