Home Health Aide Career Transition

Elderwood's CNA to HHA Transition Program is designed for Certified Nursing Assistants looking to expand their skills and advance their careers in healthcare. Our program provides specialized training to help you transition seamlessly into the role of a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) in an assisted living facility.
Responsibilities
As a Home Health Aide, you will be responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility. You will also be responsible for creating a nurturing and safe environment for residents, monitoring and reporting their health and behavioral changes, and implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
Qualifications
To be eligible for this training opportunity, you must be a Registered Certified Nurse Aide in the State Nurse Aide Registry with no findings or convictions of resident abuse, mistreatment, or misappropriation of property. You must also be 17 years of age or older, possess a high school diploma or GED, provide immunization records, pass a physical, and pass a background check. Additionally, you must be able to frequently lift/move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds, have excellent interpersonal skills, and have a love of caretaking and relationship-building.
