Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Senior Care Specialist to join our team at Georgina Home Care.

About the Role

In this vital position, you will make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities by enhancing their quality of life. Your responsibilities will include assisting with personal hygiene needs, light housekeeping, and errands, as well as dispensing medication and performing other tasks that improve the client's living environment and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support clients with mobility issues, including walking and physical therapy exercises.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for clients.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning and organizing living spaces.
  • Administer medication to clients as directed.
  • Provide companionship and social interaction to clients.
  • Assist clients with errands and shopping tasks.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working as a caregiver, home health aide, or similar role is preferred.
  • First aid and CPR certification is required.
  • Knowledge of basic housekeeping tasks and cooking skills is essential.
  • Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for building strong relationships with clients and their families.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Compassionate, respectful, and ethical approach to care is mandatory.
