- We offer competitive compensation: $675 per credit hour.
- The worksite location is at our South Campus.
A part-time adjunct instructor teaches one or multiple courses during a semester. However, future courses are not guaranteed. The primary responsibility is to provide instruction, counseling, recruiting, and other duties as directed by the Program Director, Dean, Vice President of General Education & Health Sciences, or the President.
- You will:
- Create a syllabus for each course within the Learning Management System.
- E nsure each program/class contains essential curricular components, has appropriate content and pedagogy, and maintains currency.
- Maintain a high level of expertise in the subjects taught and stimulate enthusiasm for those subjects.
- Recommend textbooks and instructional materials to the Dean/Director.
- Make suggestions to improve the curriculum in line with the college's objectives.
To be successful, you should have:
- Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university with 18 credit hours in Logistics; Master's Degree preferred.
Essential skills include:
- Minimum two years teaching experience.
- Teaching experience in adult education is preferred.
- Must be available for required course assignments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and use personal computers and software applications.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Accuracy and efficiency in processing data.
- Crisis management and personnel direction.
