About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at El Pollo Loco. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to the highest standards, ensuring that every dish that leaves our kitchen meets our quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook food to order, using a variety of cooking techniques and ingredients.
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Work effectively as part of a team, communicating with colleagues to ensure seamless service.
• Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving any issues promptly.
• Participate in ongoing training and development, staying up-to-date with new recipes, techniques, and menu items.

Requirements:

• No prior experience is required, but one or more years of restaurant cooking experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred.
• Ability to speak and read English is preferred (second language is a plus). Ability to communicate effectively with external customers required.
• Kitchen, time-management, and customer service skills are preferred.
