Environmental Sustainability Specialist

We are seeking a qualified Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will have the chance to work in a dynamic environment, handling hazardous materials and performing various tasks to ensure proper treatment and disposal. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Handling hazardous materials, including inventorying, identifying, segregating, and packaging waste material in accordance with environmentally responsible practices and regulations.
- Performing onsite services, such as waste collection, consolidation, sampling, safety inspections, and other activities required by customers or contracts.
- Assisting other business groups as needed, both internally and onsite.
You will be responsible for preparing shipment of packaged waste, inspecting, labeling, marking, and loading into transport vehicles. Additionally, you will complete documentation, including shipping papers, Land Disposal Restrictions (LDR's), evaluations/certifications, and other required documents in accordance with regulations and procedures.
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong understanding of health and safety procedures, as well as the ability to follow instructions and promote compliance by example. You may also be required to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat Endorsement to operate Clean Earth vehicles safely.
We offer a competitive salary, estimated at $65,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
