Job Description

As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational services to referred patients. Your primary goal will be to assist patients in achieving maximum independence through personalized care plans.

The successful candidate will coordinate patient care plans with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals, evaluate patient needs, and develop tailored programs. Additionally, you will administer direct patient care, instruct patients and their families on home programs, and maintain accurate records of patient treatment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Administering direct patient care using appropriate occupational therapy techniques

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal. You must be able to work effectively with individuals, assess situations, and make sound judgments. Additionally, you should have the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality when necessary.

Preferred qualifications include one to two years of experience in Occupational Therapy, preferably in a home health care setting. A graduate degree from an accredited program of Occupational Therapy or completion of the A.O.T.A. Career Mobility Program is also required.
