Job Title: TEAP Coordinator

Job Summary:

The TEAP Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and implementing the Trainee Employee Assistance Program (TEAP) and Tobacco Cessation and Prevention Programs. This includes assessment, prevention, intervention, counseling, relapse prevention, and education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote wellness program initiatives and functions.
  • Ensure confidentiality and integrity of student information/data.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of student medical information.
  • Provide prevention and intervention services to enhance student participation and employability.
  • Promote healthy choices to improve student physical and emotional well-being.
  • Provide training and workshops to staff and students on healthy lifestyle choices, substance use, and tobacco cessation.
  • Ensure the TEAP program meets DOL, Corporate, and Center policies.
  • Discuss TEAP with students during the arrival process.
  • Ensure the program includes assessment, intervention, counseling, relapse prevention, prevention, and education.
  • Ensure the program is taught through all phases of CDSS and administered as described in the PRH.
  • Ensure specimen collection and handling comply with chain of custody procedures.
  • Provide group counseling related to TEAP.
  • Coordinate activities with Center staff, students, and community resources.
  • Network with Center staff and community agencies to provide support services to students.
  • Assist in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for program components.
  • Work with the CMHC, Center physician, health and wellness staff, and other designated staff to ensure intervention components are fully understood and integrated on-Center.
  • Work with the Recreation Department to develop leisure activities and incentives to reinforce drug- and alcohol-free lifestyles.
  • Act as liaison to CMHC and behavior management for TEAP issues.
  • Administer the Center's smoking cessation program to prevent tobacco use and promote tobacco-free individuals and environments.
  • Provide educational materials and activities to support delaying and/or cessation of tobacco use.
  • Track student progress.
  • Ensure required reporting and documentation in smoking cessation and related activities.
  • Develop and maintain a list of students involved in the program.
  • Monitor statistical information about students who test positive on entry and attainments in the program.
  • Maintain TEAP statistics for reporting to the DOL.
  • Ensure required and accurate reporting of all TEAP-related data.
  • Enter information into the CIS and keep necessary files and records.
  • Maintain accurate hard and electronic copy files to ensure the department meets DOL, Corporate, and Center expectations.

Requirements:

  • Active, unrestricted substance abuse license or certification that meets minimum state licensing or certification requirements to practice in the state where the center is located.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • Substance Abuse Treatment Certification.
  • LISAC Certification.
  • LASAC Certification.
  • CPR/First Aid certifications.
