Job Overview

CHS Inc., a leading global agribusiness, is seeking an experienced laborer to join our team in Cheyenne Wells, CO. As a key member of our grain team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our local facility.

Estimated Salary

$45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out general labor responsibilities efficiently and promptly, including preparing trucks and railcars for loading/unloading.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of commodities handled at the location and comply with company policy and government regulations.
  • Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner, providing excellent customer service.
  • Load and unload agricultural inputs from railcars and/or trucks using heavy or light duty machinery/equipment.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks, including lubrication of pumps, valves, and loading arms, as well as inspecting equipment for leaks and seeps.
  • Maintain quality of inventory, including blended, bulk, or packaged product, and deliver products to customer sites as needed.
  • Keep all work areas clean, orderly, and safe, conducting regular housekeeping duties such as sweeping, shoveling, power washing, and cleaning up spills.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Prior experience in operations or business operations is highly desirable.
  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required.
  • The ability to lift 75 pounds, climb rail cars, ladders, stairs, and bins, and work in dust and adverse weather conditions is essential.
