We are a network of public charter schools in Allegheny County, serving approximately 4,000 scholars across 13 schools. Our mission is to provide high-quality education to underserved communities.
Job SummaryThis role involves collaborating with administrators and staff to plan and lead student learning success. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and teaching curriculum based on Pennsylvania Common Core Standards.
Key Responsibilities- Design coherent instruction using prescribed unit and lesson structures that align with state standards and emerging best practices.
- Develop and continually update learning resources while actively participating in professional development.
- Create an instructional environment characterized by respect and rapport that promotes a culture of learning.
- Use various instructional strategies to engage students in age-appropriate learning, such as computer-assisted, cooperative learning, and student-centered approaches.
- Manage student behavior and classroom procedures effectively to promote a safe learning environment.
- Assess student learning using formal and informal assessment techniques and utilize that information to drive instruction.
- Implement student IEPs and participate in the special education process as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and report student progress in accordance with school policy and procedure.
- Prepare and achieve annual performance expectations as prescribed or approved by administration.
- Communicate with families on a regular basis and respond to family-initiated communication in a timely manner.
- A competitive salary of $67,375 - $133,375, based on relevant prior work experience.
- A relocation allowance for new hires moving to the area from 60 miles away or further.

- New hires participate in a 403(b); Propel contributes 5% automatically and matches up to 4%. This increases after 5 years.
