Operating Room Nurse

At Methodist Hospital Stone Oak, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. As a Registered Nurse in our OR, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.
About the RoleAs a Registered Nurse in our Operating Room, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, collaborating with the surgical team, and ensuring the smooth operation of our OR. You will work closely with our experienced nursing staff to provide individualized care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in patient condition
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current RN license in the state of Texas
- At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an Operating Room setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Methodist Hospital Stone Oak is a 280-bed hospital that offers a wide range of services, including emergency care, general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, neonatology, oncology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, and acute rehab services. We are accredited by the Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center, and our stroke rehabilitation program has received the Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval for Disease-Specific Care Certification of Stroke Rehabilitation.
