Gage Calibration Specialist

The Gage Calibration Specialist at MalaceHR will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of functional gages in the manufacturing plant. This role involves collaboration with quality engineers and customers on gage correlation studies, ensuring gage designs meet company standards and conducting gage R&R studies. This position will be 2nd shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gage Management: Oversee the usage and completeness of the plant Gage Trak database.
- Engineering Interpretation: Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T specifications.
- Improvements: Identify enhancements to existing gages and recommend calibration frequency based on historical data.
- Auditing: Conduct monthly audits of floor gages.
- Repair: Repair mechanical and electronic gages and assist with floor CMM troubleshooting.
- Maintenance Support: Work with Plant Maintenance on failing gage repairs.
- Meetings Participation: Attend required cross-functional meetings.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent service to internal and external customers.
- Reporting: Assist in documenting Non-Conformances and Continuous Improvements.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain safety and housekeeping standards on site.

Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; 2-year degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience: Previous manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good computer knowledge; understanding of gaging methods.
- Ability to multitask effectively.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods while working.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Willingness to work in a manufacturing facility, which may be temperature-controlled.
