About the Position


We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Translational Research Specialist - Non-Invasive Waveform Analysis. The selected candidate will engage in innovative research focused on non-invasive venous waveform analysis, along with data-waveform capture in the ICU for database creation.


The responsibilities of this position include:



  • Participating in human, porcine, and bench-top studies.
  • Assisting with the setup and use of piezoelectric sensors for capturing venous waveforms.
  • Contributing to the analysis and processing of waveform data to explore cardiac and respiratory components and their harmonics.
  • Traveling to both VUMC and Wilson County hospitals for ICU data capture.

This position offers a significant opportunity to develop skills in a cutting-edge research environment dedicated to improving physiological monitoring technologies. Our lab is actively conducting translational research at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) and supports waveform research across multiple academic centers in the USA.

Key Qualifications


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Less than 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A strong understanding of biomedical engineering principles.

What We Offer


Vanderbilt University Medical Center offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
