About the Role

At Ameresco, we are seeking an experienced Environmental Quality Control Manager to join our team in Concord, CA. This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your skills and expertise in environmental program management, regulatory compliance, and training.

As an Environmental Quality Control Manager, you will be responsible for managing the environmental programs for a USACE/DOD contract, including conducting environmental inspections, training employees, and managing waste generating activities on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Incident Reporting and Prevention: Develop and implement incident reporting systems, conduct classroom training, and perform worksite practical evaluations to prevent incidents.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Possess fundamental knowledge of federal, state, local legislation, and DOD rules and regulations, and incorporate them into a working site Environmental Quality Plan.
  • Policy Development: Create policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, local legislation, and DOD rules and regulations.
  • Compliance and Investigation: Comply with systems in place for reporting, investigating, analyzing, and documenting regulatory compliance incidents.
  • Training and Development: Design training for project employees to include compliance, preparation, and record-keeping, ensuring personnel training and corrective action are completed.
  • Auditing and Evaluation: Conduct on-site reviews and audits of programs and procedures, reviewing registration and documents for regulatory compliance.
  • Internal Audit Program: Develop and implement an internal audit program, evaluating audit findings and results, and coordinating with the Project Manager for completion of Corrective and Preventive Action Reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Work Experience: Minimum five (5) years construction and/or environmental program management work experience.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Demonstrated experience with monitoring and enforcing EPA and DOD regulations regarding hazardous waste management and handling.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include comprehensive insurance, investment, and incentive plans.
