About This Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician (PCT) Assistant to join our team at Baptist Health. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients and their families.

Job Summary

The primary function of the PCT is to assist the patient and family with basic patient care, monitoring, and hygiene, ensuring that care is complete and effective. You will work as an essential part of the patient care team, providing exceptional human interaction skills, excellent communication skills, and a caring attitude.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients and families with basic patient care, monitoring, and hygiene
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care
  • Provide education on CPR, skills training, Crucial Conversations, and Hospitality in Healthcare
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing or related field preferred
  • Active enrollment in an accredited RN Nursing program with one semester completed
  • 12 college level credit hours, including English Composition with a C or higher and overall GPA of 2.0 or greater
  • Healthcare experience preferred but not required; service industry experience preferred but not required
  • Good organization skills, verbal and written communication skills, and ability to learn and apply new healthcare-related skills
  • Ability to collaborate with the health care team effectively and engage people at the appropriate level for their wellness and cognition
