We are seeking an exceptional Registered Nurse to join our team at St. Joseph's Health, a world-renowned healthcare provider dedicated to delivering compassionate and innovative patient care.
About the RoleThis exciting opportunity is for a skilled and motivated nurse to work in our Emergency Services Resource Pool, providing high-quality care to critically ill patients and lower acuity patients on various units, including the Observation Unit, Flex Unit, and Medical Short Stay Unit.
As an Emergency Nursing Professional, you will be responsible for rotating shifts across the emergency service line, working independently and autonomously in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, and developing skills to care for patients in a variety of settings.
Responsibilities- Responsible for Emergency intervention and triage of patients to the appropriate setting.
- Rapid triage assessment and reassessment of new arrivals
- Provide emergency intervention and care for lower acuity patients while in RWP.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, communicate effectively, and facilitate optimal provision of care.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current licensure in the State of New York.
- A Baccalaureate Degree in the Science of Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing preferred.
- Maintain all licensures and certifications according to NYS regulations and specialty area requirements.

Work Environment and HazardsYou will work in a clinical office setting, exposed to conditions that may be disagreeable to sight, touch, sound, smell, and taste. You will also encounter biohazards, hazards, noise, infectious waste, diseases, and conditions.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this role is $39.65-$56.95 per hour, based on experience, skills, and education. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
