Physical Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Resilient Healthcare.

This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced Physical Therapy Assistant to work closely with physical therapists, providing direct patient care and supporting patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals.

• Prepare engaging exercises and activities for physical therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and effective treatment plan for each patient.
• Provide counseling and consultations to new patients, their family members, and caregivers, addressing their concerns and needs.
• Collaborate with physical therapists to set and achieve patient goals, monitoring progress and identifying areas for improvement.
• Assist with direct patient care, including preparing equipment and exam rooms, while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Review patient files prior to appointments, demonstrating a clear understanding of their challenges and requirements.
• Document patient information accurately and efficiently, meeting deadlines and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments by attending continuing education courses and advancing personal knowledge and skills.

• Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in the State of Texas.
• Proficient in computer software commonly used for documentation and report preparation.
• Associate degree in Physical Therapy required.
• Demonstrates knowledge and adherence to HIPAA legislation and other patient privacy laws.
• Experience working with sensitive and personal patient records and information.
• Proficient in troubleshooting common software and hardware challenges related to speech pathology tools.
• Physical endurance and ability to work primarily in a standing position, lifting at least 50 lbs.
• Demonstrates a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with patients, family members, or staff.
• Accountability and attention to detail essential when handling and documenting important medical information.

We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
