Job Description

This is a challenging and rewarding role for an Occupational Therapist to join our team at Luminis Health.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to work in our hospital, providing high-quality care to patients with varying levels of need. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for conducting therapy evaluations, developing treatment plans, and implementing interventions to help patients achieve their goals.

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients, from pediatric to geriatric, and provide individualized care that addresses their unique needs. Your expertise will be essential in helping patients regain functional abilities, develop coping strategies, and improve their overall quality of life.

The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of services and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive therapy evaluations to identify patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions to address patient goals and outcomes, including therapeutic exercises, activities, and education.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, share knowledge, and optimize patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records, complete documentation, and participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality care.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and research to enhance professional growth and inform clinical decision-making.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Maryland.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in acute care or a related setting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position working within a fast-paced healthcare environment. You will be required to work collaboratively with colleagues, communicate effectively with patients and families, and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

What We Offer

Luminis Health offers a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $ $83,500 per annum, plus benefits, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
