Position Overview:

As a Stock and Merchandising Associate, you will play a critical role in driving revenue by building strong relationships with clients, sharing style and product information, and maintaining a clean and safe store environment. You will consistently meet or exceed individual and store goals, while upholding our company values and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Experience:
  • Provide exceptional client service by anticipating needs, exceeding expectations, and adhering to our service standards
  • Build relationships with clients, create loyalty, and multitask while servicing internal and external clients
  • Address client concerns, resolve issues when possible, and involve management when necessary
  • Portray a gracious, friendly, energetic, and engaging manner, while being respectful and professional
  • Take ownership, solicit feedback, and incorporate it for professional growth and development
  • Communicate effectively with management, team members, and external clients in person, through written correspondence, and over the phone

  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, practices, and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local laws
Operations:
  • Complete opening and closing procedures, tasks, and duties as assigned by management, with a focus on client satisfaction
  • Meet merchandise processing standards and maintain an organized and accessible work area
  • Adhere to Loss Prevention practices and report potential incidents to ensure shortage control and protect company assets
  • Maintain a safe work environment and report any potential hazards to management
  • Participate in inventory preparation and assist with other tasks as assigned
  • Report to work as scheduled, record time accurately, and remain flexible to meet business needs
  • Follow all Knitwell Group operational guidelines, processes, and procedures
  • Review bulletin boards daily
Technical Expertise:
  • Demonstrate a desire and ability to be learner-responsible and navigate our computer learning systems
  • Perform register transactions quickly and efficiently
  • Be proficient in using Distributed Order Maintenance (DOM's) and StyleFinder to locate product for clients and process transactions accurately
  • Operate the phone, answering calls with an appropriate greeting, transferring, and placing calls on hold
  • Operate and understand the functions of the Point of Sale (POS) system
Product/Brand Management:
  • Understand and articulate our company's brand positioning, including our uniqueness, current marketing initiatives, markdowns, POS events, and lifestyle concepts to internal and external clients
  • Live our company's purpose, values, and behaviors in all interactions
  • Participate in and attend store meetings
  • Proactively use associate education tools to build product and styling knowledge with peers
  • Embody fashion trends and understand current market interpretations, articulating them in every client interaction
  • Packages and wraps client purchases according to our standards
Requirements:
  • Client Service: Ability to function as a role model, ensuring the client remains the top priority
  • Follow Directions: Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines with minimal supervision and within designated timeframes
  • Merchandising: Knowledge of visual standards and techniques, and ability to implement and maintain with our guidelines
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, management, business partners, and store associates
  • Accuracy: Ability to handle cash and provide change without error
  • Schedule: Remain flexible in scheduling to meet business needs
  • Physical: Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally, maneuver effectively around the sales floor and stock room
Educational Requirements and Experience:
  • Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum one year sales associate or relevant experience in the services industry with proven results
