Clinical Nurse Specialist

This role is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a clinic setting, adhering to Virginia Mason Franciscan Health standards and values. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing principles and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, coordinating, and evaluating patient care, as well as providing education and consultation to patients, families, and healthcare teams. Strong communication and critical thinking skills are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver professional nursing care to patients, including administering medications, performing diagnostic testing, and documenting patient information.
- Triaging nursing situations and addressing urgent or emergent situations escalated from other clinic staff.
- Assisting with point-of-care testing and lab tests, following established protocols and instructions.
- Preparing patients for practitioner visits, obtaining and recording vital signs, and documenting patient exams.
- Organizing exam rooms, including cleaning, upkeep, and restocking supplies.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
- One year of RN work experience in a clinic setting or two years of acute care RN work experience.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS Certification.
