About the Role

Northwest Texas Healthcare System, a subsidiary of UHS, is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Specialist to provide patient care in our dynamic and growing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practice the Service Excellence Standards to all customer groups.
  • Attend to patients' direct care needs and perform tasks as delegated under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, house supervisor, and charge nurse.
  • Assist in delivering treatment, safety, and activities of daily living as part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team.
  • Perform duties assigned, including observation rounding, medical procedures, leading topic-specific groups, managing milieu, training new employees, documentation, and safety rounds.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association and maintain certification throughout employment.
  • Must possess one of the following: 2 years' experience providing patient care, EMT Certification, Medical Assistant Certification, or High School Diploma or equivalent.
