We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery First Assistant to join our team at Metropolitan Healthcare Services, Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide preoperative assessment and support to patients undergoing cardiac and thoracic surgery
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Assist the surgeon during cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures
  • Communicate effectively with the team to ensure critical information is relayed throughout the perioperative period
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing or a school accepted for candidacy status from an accrediting body
  • Current license to practice nursing in the state of Ohio
  • Completion of an accredited course in RN First Assisting
  • CNOR certified, willing to pursue certification and maintains certification
  • CPR certified and maintains certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Three years experience in cardiothoracic surgery and perioperative nursing
  • Formal education required for Physician Assistant: completion of formal Physician Assistant training from an Accredited program with NCCPA certification
