Job Summary:

This position oversees the management and supervision of IT operations, including technical services, project management, infrastructure, security, quality assurance, and enterprise architecture. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a multi-million dollar budget, policies, and procedures for IT, as well as maintaining hardware and technology subscriptions. Additionally, they will resolve technical issues and serve as a liaison with executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop the IT budget.
  • Monitor, track, and report on all IT projects.
  • Manage cloud services for the Department.
  • Review and report progress of priority projects set forth by executive leadership.
  • Plan and deliver multiple-level projects and activities in a fast-changing environment.
  • Manage infrastructure and IT security for the Department.
  • Assure availability of network, computing systems, equipment, and services, cloud environments, on-premise servers, and all hosting, domain controllers, switches, routers, UPS, etc.
  • Maintain operational plans, disaster recovery plan, business continuity plan, security plan, and server security.
  • Manage quality assurance functions, including testing custom-built software builds, databases, functionality, and features.
  • Oversee regression testing, integration testing, acceptance testing, and API testing.
  • Manage processes of developing proposals, presentations, plans, timelines, priorities, equipment, staff, and budgets for complex technical projects for the Department.
  • Provide leadership by hiring, training, and supervising all employees of the IT Division.
  • Manage purchasing and maintaining all hardware.
  • Manage internet services and phones.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 5 or more years of experience in a related discipline (or equivalent experience) required.
  • Employment is contingent upon completion of a post-offer medical/physical examination and the agency's ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.
  • Must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver's license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver's license record checks.
  • Must maintain acceptable driving records and complete all required driver training.
  • Must maintain statutorily required liability insurance.
