The Job Description
We're seeking an experienced Truck Parts Inventory Coordinator who will drive a positive customer experience by building relationships, exhibiting empathy, and providing solutions for their needs. Key responsibilities include:
- Processing parts orders, tracking inventory levels, and ordering additional merchandise as needed.
- Receiving orders via phone, email, and other means, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Following up with customers and vendors on all orders, phone calls, and inquiries.
- Verifying part sources, prices, availability, and lead times.
- Aiding with warehouse responsibilities, such as ordering, receiving, stocking, inventory, and record-keeping.
- Organizing inventory locations and storage points for easy access.
- Returning non-stocking parts to vendors and processing refunds/credits.
- Placing inventory orders to satisfy customer demands and maintain inventory levels.
- Assisting with maintaining stock levels and pricing on showroom displays.
- Participating in physical inventory, audits, and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Performing end-of-billing procedures to correctly commit and reduce inventory.
- Collections payment (cash, check, credit card), applying payments to invoices, and reconciling daily transactions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience working with ERP/MRP programs preferred.
- Ability to recognize basic mechanical parts.
- Knowledgeable in proper cash handling procedures.
- Knowledgeable in vehicle body-related parts and service industry.
- Demonstrated skills in database management and record-keeping preferred.
- Ability to problem-solve quickly and prioritize tasks according to importance.
- Comfortable working independently and in a team environment.
Salary Information
The estimated annual salary for this position is between $45,000 - $65,000, depending on location and experience. This range is based on national averages and may vary accordingly.
