KARDENT, a leading architecture firm, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated California Licensed Architect to contribute to our dynamic team. As a Licensed Architect, you will play a crucial role in the design and execution of projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and refine design concepts that align with client requirements and project goals.
  • Prepare and review architectural drawings and specifications for accuracy, functionality, and adherence to project building codes, and other applicable regulations.
  • Lead the coordination of project activities, including working with engineers, contractors, and consultants to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, address design challenges, and verify compliance with architectural plans.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and sustainable design practices to bring innovative ideas to the team.
  • Engage in client communication to present design concepts, gather feedback, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Architectural License in California is mandatory.
  • NCARB desired.
  • Bachelors degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant commercial architectural experience, including experience leading projects.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design and drafting software, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience in ground-up Construction and Design.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and permit processes in California.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated portfolio showcasing a range of successful projects and design excellence.
  • Located and able to commute to Long Beach, California or planning to relocate before starting work.
