About the Role

We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Surveillance / Claims Investigators. In this role, you will be responsible for investigating insurance claims, gathering information independently and in collaboration with clients and case managers, following guidance from handling insurance adjusters, and documenting information in a professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate insurance claims for various coverage types, including workers' compensation, general liability, property, casualty, and disability
  • Gather information independently and collaboratively with clients and case managers using methods like data collection, interviews, research, and scene investigations
  • Follow guidance from handling insurance adjusters to perform field tasks essential to the investigation
  • Develop and document investigation information in a professional manner by writing clear, concise, and grammatically correct reports, memos, and letters
  • Run relevant database indices if necessary and verify the accuracy of results found
Requirements:
  • Must possess one or more of the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Associate's degree in Criminal Justice with at least four years of demonstrated experience conducting complex insurance investigations, or high school diploma with six years of experience
  • Able to obtain proper licensing as a Private Investigator in states where required
  • Must pass post-offer Allied Universal Investigations training/orientation course
  • Minimum two years of experience conducting insurance claims investigations or adjusting complex claims
  • Working knowledge and understanding of anti-fraud laws, insurance regulations, compliance rules, and standards in their home state and region
  • Familiarity with Special Investigative Unit (SIU) Compliance
  • Ability to type 40+ words per minute with minimal error
  • Flexibility to work varied and irregular hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Proficient in utilizing laptop computers and cell phones
