ESL Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified ESL Instructor to join our part-time faculty team at Greensboro College. This is an excellent opportunity for educators who are passionate about teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) and working with adult learners.

The Adjunct Instructor of English Language Development will be responsible for preparing and delivering continuing education courses in ESL. The instructor will work closely with the director of International Programs to ensure the success of the program and students.

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students
• Create a student-centered classroom environment that fosters respect for all cultures
• Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments
• Maintain accurate attendance and grading records
• Establish effective communication channels with students outside of class, such as online platforms or email groups

• Bachelor's Degree, ESL training, and ESL teaching experience
• Preferred qualifications include a Master's Degree in TESOL or a related field, and one or more years of experience teaching ESL in an adult education program

Estimated annual salary: $45,000 - $60,000 based on experience and qualifications.
