Pharmacy Technician

Job Description:

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting the pharmacy team in delivering high-quality patient care. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting pharmacists with prescription filling, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists with prescription filling, including retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs.
• Maintain accurate records, including patient information and prescription details.
• Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Operate pharmacy systems, including cash registers and inventory management software.
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
• Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain knowledge of pharmacy operations and patient care.

Requirements:

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Prefer good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Prefer good computer skills for operating pharmacy systems.
