Job Summary

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at American Family Care Mentor, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians in diagnosing injuries and diseases. This position involves performing radiographic and other diagnostic imaging procedures to ensure accurate diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients with compassion and explain procedures to them in a clear manner
  • Position patients appropriately for diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety
  • Practice ALARA radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure
  • Process images, review them for proper identification and quality control, and prepare them for reading by physicians or radiologists as needed
  • Utilize digital and non-digital diagnostic imaging equipment, adhering to approved radiology techniques and company policies
  • Aid providers with prescribed patient treatments according to established standards, policies, and protocols
  • Maintain equipment, diagnose malfunctions, and perform minor repairs as necessary
  • Complete forms and maintain records of work performed
  • Serve as Medical Receptionist and/or Medical Assistant as needed within guidelines
Requirements
  • Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience and training
  • ARRT registration or board eligibility preferred; licensed per state regulation; medical assistant certification, practical nursing license, EMT, or paramedic certification may be acceptable in some states
Benefits and Salary

This position offers a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits such as dental insurance, flexible schedule, health insurance, paid time off, vision insurance, and wellness resources.
