Optical Customer Service Representative

The Optics Customer Service Representative plays a vital role in ensuring exceptional customer experiences at our optical retail locations. With a focus on delivering outstanding service, you will process incoming and outbound calls, respond to questions and resolve issues related to optical retail orders. Your excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities will enable you to provide complete service to our customers, answering their inquiries and resolving any problems they may encounter.
Key Responsibilities
- Process retail optical store orders with precision and efficiency.
- Repair frames to the highest standards of quality.
- Locate prescriptions in our Lab or Distribution Center, expediting them as needed.
- Provide complete service to our optical departments, ensuring that every customer receives a positive experience.
- Answer incoming customer calls, providing prompt and professional responses to their queries.
- Makes outbound courtesy calls to check in with customers and ensure their satisfaction.
- Processes error tickets and tracks prescriptions with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Calls stores to resolve any problems and ensures that our customers receive the best possible service.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A high school diploma, trade school certificate, or GED is required for this position.
- Previous data entry experience, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, is essential.
- You must have proven experience handling large volumes of calls, with a pleasant and professional phone manner.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, thinking critically and making sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Team-oriented and able to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals.
- Good problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop effective solutions.
- A willingness to work overtime as needed, often without advance notice, to ensure the smooth operation of our business.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in Customer Service, preferably in an optical setting.
- 1+ year of experience in optical retail, with a preference for dispensing experience.
Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000 per year.
