Job Summary

At Hire Health, we are seeking a skilled Substance Use Counselor to join our team. As a Counselor, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive outpatient treatment for opioid addiction. Our care model includes medication, weekly group therapy, and care navigation, and we pride ourselves on providing high-quality clinical treatment and team-based support.

Responsibilities

As a Counselor, your primary focus will be leading group therapy sessions. You will work closely with a cross-functional care team, including prescribers, care navigators, peer recovery coaches, and office managers, to deliver a holistic clinical model based on the belief that counseling, medication, and community are the foundation for achieving sustained recovery. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
  • Leading 2-3 group therapy sessions per week, building recovery skills and fostering community among members.
  • Collaborating with team members to coordinate treatment decisions and manage caseloads.
  • Documenting members' progress, using outcome measures and client feedback to inform treatment plans.
  • Engaging in community relations activities, such as distributing promotional materials and attending meetings related to substance abuse and addiction topics.


Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree and an active behavioral health licensure in the state of Kentucky. You should also have a minimum of two years of experience leading group therapy in a SUD setting and be comfortable working with technology, including EMR and telehealth software.
