Maintenance Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Jobot. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for executing preventive and predictive maintenance programs, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and ensuring that our manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical systems and equipment.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to understand equipment and controls.
  • Work with PLC, VFD, and Allen Bradley control systems to optimize equipment performance.
  • Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures to ensure the safety of all team members during maintenance operations.
  • Utilize knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics to maintain and repair manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed to repair equipment and make modifications.
  • Document maintenance and repair work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest ways to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a maintenance technician role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in hydraulics, pneumatics, and preventive maintenance.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with electromechanical and electrical maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Experience with PLC, VFD, and Allen Bradley control systems.
  • Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  • Welding and fabrication skills.
  • Ability to work with voltages up to 480V.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed.
