We are seeking an experienced Neuro Intensive Care Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to our hospital's mission to improve health outcomes for our community.

Job Summary

The Neuro Intensive Care Nurse Specialist will be responsible for monitoring, recording, and reporting symptoms or changes in patients' conditions. You will maintain accurate, detailed reports and records, record patients' medical information and vital signs, order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions. You will also modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.

You will consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans. Additionally, you will monitor all aspects of patient care in a collaborative multidisciplinary setting, instruct individuals, families, or other groups on patient care and disease process, prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments, and provide and instruct patients and families regarding discharge instructions.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have RN licensure by the Tennessee Board of Nursing or a Board of Nursing from a compact state. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, and you must obtain ACLS within six months of hire or transfer from a non-ICU area. Specialty certification is preferred, and one to two years of clinical nursing experience is required. ICU experience is also preferred.
