Medical Assistant Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Sentara Healthcare. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform patient care-related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluation.
  • Assist healthcare professionals with clinical and administrative duties.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication skills.
Requirements:
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum one year of experience in a healthcare setting.
