Job Summary

The Registered Nurse on 2 West at Finger Lakes Health is a critical member of our healthcare team, providing high-quality care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients with medical and/or surgical conditions. As a Cardiac Care Registered Nurse, you will develop specialized skills in telemetry monitoring and provide emotional support in a Healing Environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient need and develop a plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
  • Provide direct care, evaluate patient progress, and coordinate care delivery throughout the patient's episode
  • Develop and implement patient education to assist in understanding self-care beyond hospitalization, including lifestyle changes to support health and healing
  • Promote comfort and provide emotional support in a Healing Environment
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Registered Professional Nursing
  • Current NYS license or Limited Permit to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS required through the RQI system during clinical orientation
  • Basic Coronary Care obtained within 6 months of hire
  • CPI within one year of hire into this position
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of successful performance as a RN in medical/surgical environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and electronic medical record
Salary Range

$39.52-$49.44
