As a Project Accounting Intern, you'll join our team for 12 weeks during the summer of 2025. This full-time (40 hours/week) internship is based in Portland, OR.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Gaining insight into different project types (Lump Sum, Cost Plus, GMP) and their impact on costs, forecasting, and billings.
  • Supporting the Project Accountant with backup preparation for monthly billings.
  • Learning about trade partners, payment applications, lien waiver tracking, and review processes.
  • Familiarizing yourself with AIA billing processes.
  • Assisting with developing monthly forecasting spreadsheets and other ad hoc requests.
  • Helping the Project Team with task setup, historical labor corrections, cost transfers, coding forms, check requests, trade partner payments, and miscellaneous administrative tasks.

To succeed, you should have:

  • A strong foundation in accounting or finance, preferably through an undergraduate degree.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Effective interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Tenacious analytical skills and attention to detail.

This opportunity offers a competitive hourly wage of $17.00. Students in their sophomore year or higher will be paid accordingly based on their academic level.
