About the Role

We are seeking an Advanced Data Scientist to join our team at the McCourt School of Public Policy. As a Senior Data Scientist II, you will play a key role in supporting research projects with the U.S. Department of Education.

Key Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Collaborate with research team members to design and implement studies, analyze data, and publish results from research projects.">
  • Work closely with government agency personnel to monitor and assess data quality.">
  • Develop and manage database structuring and data management strategies.">
  • Take primary responsibility for writing statistical designs, methods, and analysis for research assignments.">
  • Design and implement machine learning models to support statistical designs.">
  • Ensure the documentation and archiving of datasets.">
  • Contribute to writing statistical methods and results sections of reports and publications.">
  • Support the publication of research products and related projects online.">

Requirements

">

To be successful in this role, you should have a Master's degree in biostatistics, statistics, data science, econometrics, or a similar quantitative methods field. You should also have 5+ years of experience in data analysis, programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and Tableau, and experience designing relational databases.

Compensation and Benefits

">

The salary range for this position is $66,783.00 - $126,720.23 per year, commensurate with experience.
