Instron is a global leader in materials testing systems, and we are currently seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate Numerical Control (N/C) equipment safely and efficiently to manufacture parts, precision tools, jigs, fixtures, and assemblies.
- Work from blueprints and written instructions to machine complex parts, meeting finish requirements and tolerances.
- Monitor the performance of tools and make necessary changes and adjustments, including tool offsets.
- Use measuring and inspection equipment to check parts to specification, with assistance from supervision and higher-level machinists.
- Perform secondary operations such as drilling and deburring if machine cycle permits.
- Keep tools, work area, and equipment in a safe, clean, and orderly condition.
Requirements:
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, program readouts, and set-up instructions.
- Knowledge of basic shop math and technical high school education.
- Understanding of machine shop and N/C terms, normally acquired in a minimum of 2 years related experience.
- Mechanical ability and manual dexterity to perform all required duties with ease.
- Physical stamina for standing during working hours and managing all parts and accessories typical to machine shop operation.
