Job Summary

As a QC Sample Management Group Leader at Eurofins USA PSS Insourcing Solutions, you will be responsible for leading a team of Sample Management Specialists in a regulated facility. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the quality and integrity of samples, while also coordinating with client contacts to communicate status of deliverables, determine priorities, and set timelines.

This is a full-time position working 3rd shift on a Sunday-Wednesday 10pm-8:30am schedule. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, NY are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Verification of sample submissions to Quality Control
  • Documentation of sample transactions in Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
  • Handling, storage, and organization of samples
  • Delivering samples to QC laboratories for testing as required
  • Interacting with outside customers and functional peer groups
  • Fulfilling sample pull requests
  • Compliance with all pertinent regulatory agency requirements
  • Conducting temperature, environmental, and/or CO2 monitoring.
  • Preparation of samples for shipment
  • Performing sample inventory and disposal
  • Ensuring compliance with SOPs; reports any quality or other anomalies through the Deviation Notification and Resolution system
Leadership Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Sample Management Specialists in a regulated facility
  • Coordinates, supports, and monitors performance of team through quality metrics while ensuring client deadlines are met
  • Coordinates with client contacts to communicate status of deliverables, determine priorities, and set timelines.
  • Set individual and team goals to develop the scope of work and responsibilities of the team
  • Manage time off and payroll entries of the team
  • May participate in new hire interviews
  • Supports the on-boarding process of new employees
  • Participates in training of other employees.
Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree in Life Sciences or related degree
  • Leadership experience
  • Thrive working in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multitask
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship is required
