Apartment Maintenance Technician

Aperto Property Management, Inc. is seeking a skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team in Taylor, AZ. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the physical integrity of our community, providing a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, and leasing office, parking lots, and other community buildings.
- Remove trash from office areas and apartment community perimeter on a daily basis.
- Assist in preparing market-ready units, including removing trash from vacant apartments (trash outs) prior to make-ready.
- Perform assigned maintenance tasks in a timely manner, assisting the Maintenance Supervisor/Community Manager as needed.
- Assist in cleaning available apartments and/or models.
- Assist the maintenance team with snow removal (if applicable).
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, carpentry, and electrical problems.
- Report maintenance concerns for repairs on available apartments, models, clubhouse, and/or common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Maintain curb appeal.
- Assist the management team with other various tasks required.
- Deliver communication documentation to residents.
- Present a neat, clean, and professional appearance at all times throughout the workday and/or whenever present at the community.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills for interacting with residents, co-workers, and senior management.
- Contribute to and foster a team approach to serving residents and maintaining a successful community.
Requirements:
- Apartment maintenance experience required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of the apartment industry and skills required for plumbing, appliance repair, electrical duties, and fire alarm panels, HVAC is a plus.
- Demonstrable computer abilities, Windows (Word and Excel), Internet, and email, and other relevant applications.
- Yardi experience, a plus.
- Availability to participate in on-call emergency rotation and respond to emergencies after hours as needed.
- Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English.
- Reliable transportation.
