Job Summary

ReqOverflow is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in Richmond, VA. As a key member of our Radiology department, you will be responsible for obtaining high-quality radiographs of patients using various equipment and techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain high-quality radiographs of patients in a timely manner, adhering to radiation safety guidelines and utilizing personal protective equipment.
  • Operate radiographic equipment safely and competently, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration.
  • Perform computer operations, including Meditech and PACS, to ensure accurate charges and verified physician orders.
  • Provide patient care in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring a positive experience for all patients.
  • Prepare examination rooms for radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, maintaining inventory and ensuring cleanliness and organization.
  • Assist radiologists in administering medications, contrast agents, and other care to patients, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Review exams for technical accuracy, completing verification processes in PACS and ensuring high-quality images.
  • Collaborate with the Diagnostic Supervisor to maintain a clean and organized PACS system, ensuring efficient workflow and minimizing errors.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee and patient information, adhering to company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology, with continuing education credits as mandated by the ARRT for licensure.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Technologist (RT) in Radiography, with American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Preferred: Society of Radiologic Technology and Virginia Society of Radiologic Technology membership.
  • Preferred: Minimum of one year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, although new graduates are also encouraged to apply.
Work Schedule

ReqOverflow offers a variety of shifts to accommodate different schedules, including weeknights, weekends, and days. Please note that call shifts are required for certain positions.
