Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at DigitalOcean. As a key member of our Availability team, you will play a critical role in driving availability and process improvements across the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Improve toilsome availability-related processes
  • Communicate incident status clearly to customers
  • Embed directly with service teams
  • Respond to Slack messages & keep up with various streams of conversation
  • Spending time on hackathons, education, employee groups, and open source projects

Requirements:

  • Experience using or administering Linux systems
  • Experience writing documents in English - especially technical documentation, post-mortems, and blogs
  • Experience reading, writing, and debugging code (any language is fine)
  • Familiarity with incident management
  • Familiarity with shell & git
  • Familiarity with continuous integration systems and concepts
  • Familiarity with monitoring systems (e.g. Grafana, VictoriaMetrics, Looker, Elasticsearch) for data-driven outcomes

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary range of $138,000 - $162,000 based on market data, relevant years of experience, and skills
  • A bonus in addition to base salary; bonus amounts are determined based on company and individual performance
