Job Title: Physical Therapist Travel Assignment

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team for a travel assignment in Fairfield, Ohio.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality physical therapy services to patients in a fast-paced healthcare setting. This is a 13-week assignment with 32 hours per week, requiring an 8-hour day shift.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including evaluation, treatment planning, and delivery of treatment in accordance with facility, Medicare, and Therapy Management Corporation's policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of records in regard to patient care.
  • Report and interpret treatment results, and participate in development and presentation of in-services for the facility as requested.
  • Supervise support personnel in immediate work areas as appropriate.
  • Perform clinical functions, including screenings, evaluations, development of treatment plans, and delivery of treatment.
  • Participate in meetings regarding patient care as appropriate, and assist with community education and public relations activities of the facility.
  • Provide education to patient's family as well as staff on the specific treatment plan and therapy goals for the patient.
  • Responsible for the coordination and cooperation with other staff members in carrying out the treatment plan as established.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Current certification with the American Physical Therapy Association.
  • Licensed by the State in the designated geographic area in his/her respective therapy profession.
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform the following tasks without posing a threat to the health or safety of him/herself or others and without risk to self, co-workers, caregivers, or patient:
  • Lift, turn, move position, and transport the patient into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.
  • Sedentary tasks related to job – approximately 10%.
  • Physical tasks as listed – approximately 90%.
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform a minimal assist transfer.
